Chris is a Southern California native with 20+ years of hockey experience. He grew up playing AAA youth hockey in Southern California and became a stand out offensive player receiving the honor of being named MAC Tournament MVP. After playing AAA hockey, Chris decided to play Junior hockey in the NAHL to pursue his dreams of becoming a scholarship Division 1 Athlete. His dreams became a reality after leading his Junior hockey team in goals and were recruited by the University of Connecticut (UConn) where he eventually was the leading goal scorer after his Junior season. Chris holds a degree in Communications from the University of Connecticut (UConn) where he spent four years as a student-athlete!. He takes pride in starting his hockey career in the local Southern California hockey market and understands the discipline, hard work, and commitment it takes to reach the next level. Not only does Chris believe in individual player development and growth, but also puts a strong emphasis on character, team chemistry, discipline, and most importantly cultivating an atmosphere of fun and love for hockey! He brings a wealth of experience both on and off the ice and is excited to help lead the Ice Dogs program!


Alex Semenov, son of former Russian National Team and NHL star Anatoli Semenov, has a wealth of hockey experience at the youth, junior, and professional levels.  Alex began playing travel hockey in Southern California. In his final year of youth hockey, he played Midget AAA with the Dallas Stars.  Alex went on to play Junior Hockey in the NAHL & USHL.  While playing Alex was offered a scholarship to play for Merrimack College in the NCAA and at the same time the chance to play in the Russian Elite League.  He decided to pursue a professional hockey career and played 4.5 years for the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv and other teams of the Russian Super League now known as the KHL.  Alex now coaches youth hockey and enjoys working with youth players in their various stages of development. 


Dakota played youth hockey, AAA, Junior USHL with the Omaha Lancers, and Division 1 College Hockey for Colorado College on a hockey scholarship.  He graduated from Colorado College in 2014. He was an assistant Coach for Colorado College from 2012 to 2014. Dakota has coached youth hockey at all levels. He is a certified Level 3 USA Hockey Coach. Dakota has consulted on player’s performance during games and practices through team video consulting sessions. Dakota is looking to bring his video analysis knowledge, collegiate background and extensive hockey knowledge to help his teams develop and excel.

Patrick brings 30 years of hockey experience to the Ice Dogs coaching staff. He grew up playing AA/AAA hockey in Southern California until his Sophomore year in high school where he committed to the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. After gaining a wealth of experience playing Prep School Hockey in Canada, Patrick was recruited by Buffalo State College where he had an amazing four-year career as an NCAA student-athlete. Coach Patrick was the head coach of the Bantam A Ice Dogs team in 2015-2016 and is excited to coach with the Ice Dogs program for a second consecutive season.

Troy Redmann 
Troy Redmann grew up playing Goalie at the youth level here in Souther California at the AAA level for the LA Jr.Kings, Before moving on to play Junior A hockey in the NAHL and the USHL.  In 2005-2006 He won a National Championship playing for the Texas Tornado of the NAHL South Division before moving to the Ohio Blue Jackets of the USHL for his last season of Junior hockey.  After Juniors Troy moved on to a professional career in the ECHL playing for the Ontario Reign, Colorado Eagles, Alaska Aces, and Utah Grizzlies. On top of years playing at the AAA and Professional level, Troy is also a 6x member of the United States Inline hockey National team competing at the IIHF World Championships. During that time he has won a total of 3 Gold Medals(2010 Karlstad, Sweden) (2014 Toulouse, France) (2017 Bratislava, Slovakia). Troy Will be bringing his experience, knowledge, and expertise to the Ice dogs program as he joins our staff as the Head Goalie Coach for the program. Goalie training will consist of instruction on the most progressive save techniques with a focus on building solid fundamentals through repetition and positive reinforcement.
Zach Gray
Zachary was born in southern California and has 20+ years of hockey experience. He's played for numerous A and AA hockey clubs all over southern California. Zach has coached hockey at all youth hockey levels and has volunteered his time to be apart of the youth hockey movement in California for 5 years. Coach Zach focuses on team and player development analysis. He emphasizes accountability for all his players on and off the ice. He works on various on and off ice training drills to further the kids development as a hockey player. He analyzes video with the players about technique and proper form. Coach Zach Gray is a very dedicated and passionate hockey coach for the Ice Dogs.
